16 — HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
16.1 — Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of applicable legal obligations and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
16.2 — Retention criteria depend on the data category and purpose:
(a) Contact and information requests: data is retained while the request is being handled and until the requested explanations or steps have been completed. If the request does not progress to a credit application, data is not retained for future marketing contact without a separate legal basis. Only information necessary for a legal obligation, handling a complaint or defending legal rights is retained afterwards, for as long as that need remains;
(b) Credit intermediation applications: data is retained during preparation and support of the application and, after closure, for the statutory retention periods applicable to each document or record. Information not subject to mandatory retention is deleted when no longer needed for the service or another identified legitimate purpose;
(c) Tax and accounting obligations: documents subject to these obligations are retained for the periods required by applicable legislation;
(d) Complaints and disputes: necessary data is retained while the matter is ongoing and for any additional period legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
(e) Consent-based promotional communications: data is used for this purpose until consent is withdrawn or the purpose ends. A minimal record of an objection may be kept to prevent further promotional contact, together with evidence of consent where necessary;
(f) Cookies and technical data: the applicable periods depend on the purpose and configuration of each tool and must be set out in the Cookie Policy or the specific processing information.
16.3 — The presence of data in the CRM, email system or Client Portal does not, by itself, justify retaining it indefinitely.
16.4 — When there is no longer a purpose or obligation justifying retention, data is securely deleted or anonymised so that individuals can no longer be identified.
16.5 — Where only certain documents or information need to be retained, retention is limited to those items, with access restricted to the purpose justifying it.
17 — CALCULATIONS AND CREDIT DECISIONS
17.1 — Results produced by the calculators are indicative and do not constitute credit approval, refusal or a binding credit offer.
17.2 — Objetivaquimera does not grant credit. Credit assessment and lending decisions are made by the bank, which provides the information applicable to its own data processing, including any automated decision-making.

(a) Contact and information requests: data is retained while the request is being handled and until the requested explanations or steps have been completed. If the request does not progress to a credit application, data is not retained for future marketing contact without a separate legal basis. Only information necessary for a legal obligation, handling a complaint or defending legal rights is retained afterwards, for as long as that need remains;
(b) Credit intermediation applications: data is retained during preparation and support of the application and, after closure, for the statutory retention periods applicable to each document or record. Information not subject to mandatory retention is deleted when no longer needed for the service or another identified legitimate purpose;
(c) Tax and accounting obligations: documents subject to these obligations are retained for the periods required by applicable legislation;
(d) Complaints and disputes: necessary data is retained while the matter is ongoing and for any additional period legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
(e) Consent-based promotional communications: data is used for this purpose until consent is withdrawn or the purpose ends. A minimal record of an objection may be kept to prevent further promotional contact, together with evidence of consent where necessary;
